@DIAS I actually was in Cyprus, as a Serb, and was treated no differently to how I was treated in Greece. Cypriot Greeks ARE Greeks, and Orthodox, and that makes them our brothers. Everything else is just babble.

To Greeks of Cyprus, the islands and Anatolia, the whole “Serbian brotherhood” thing feels forced. We don’t speak Slavic languages, we didn’t come out of the same historical world, and our culture developed in the eastern Mediterranean - maritime, mercantile, sun-exposed, island networks. We fished, traded, sailed, harvested olives and citrus, kept goats (ate them too lol), made wine, dried figs, repaired boats, dived for sponges, built stone houses to stay cool, lived by the sea and the seasons. Orthodox ≠ the same people. Respectfully, stop trying to lump us into a category that doesn’t fit. Different historical trajectory, different cultural formation.
