Parents: The live period schedule has been completed for AAU season and you need to start saving now! Why? Well in April and May it’s business as usual. The dates are April 19-21 and May 17-19. These are pretty much status quo. There is a HS live period date as well in June 13-15. This is when coaches can come watch you play in a sanctioned HS live period event. If you are serious about playing college ball, talk to your HS coach about putting a team in the event. It’s great exposure and there were a ton of college coaches at these events last year! July is going to be a problem. Why? Because typically in July you play in the beginning of month for the first live period and then at the end of July. Last year the dates where July 7-10 and July 21-24. So there was time in between to go home, go to work and everybody got to rest and then get back to it. This year the dates are July 12-15 and July 19-22. The dates are so close that if you go out of town, depending on where you live it might not makes to go back home. For example @TFNsRun4Roses will be playing games starting a July 11-13 and R4R The Championship will be July 14-16. Then the Kentucky Splash and Kentucky Championship is from July 18-20 and July 20-22. They had to move the Orlando Splash to Kentucky this year because there wasn’t enough time in between to set up. R4R divides the live period dates into two tournaments. That’s why the dates are longer than the actual live period dates. Most tournaments do this as well so you can’t just play the live period dates and leave. That means you would be in Kentucky for 11 days. This is likely how it will be this summer for everyone in some shape or form. Plan on being away for while. There is also another live period date in the summer time but we will get into that later. This is a lot of information to digest. Keep in mind you will be gone in July for a while. Start saving now! For more info you can get it here: ncsasports.org/womens-basketb…
