Today, we launched our second #DC fast-charging station in Muhanga, expanding Rwanda’s electric mobility! The station can charge multiple buses & EVs at once, making long-distance electric travel practical and accessible. It will support EVs along the Kigali, Muhanga, Huye corridor. Doreen shares the real-world journey of scaling clean transport in Africa. From overcoming early skepticism about electric mobility to now moving thousands of passengers daily on zero-emission buses across Kenya and Rwanda, the impact is undeniable. While addressing the #climate crisis is critical, the business case is just as compelling: electric public transport is proving to be cheaper to run, more reliable to operate, and less vulnerable to fuel price volatility. This is a massive economic and operational win for African cities today.
