I take comfort in knowing iRacing took action which they should be praised for and a little part of me is very pleased they did 12 hours for no reason 🤣

Smurfs in special on iRacing is getting completely out of hand…. I was in split 5 (5k sof so a good split) and we had a former team redline driver Smurfing on a 4.6k account. Whilst Smurf account aren’t against rules, using one in a special event is the lowest of the low. I’ve had so many messages from people in different splits suffering from the same thing. I want people to know you can report them for unsportsmanlike conduct and get them a DQ from the result but that’s that. Someone in our split finished p2 and deserve to cross the finish line as winners, not get beaten by a former team redline driver. If you have had a Smurf in your split, please make sure you report it. We need to take a stand, it’s not good enough.

@JaroslavHonzik It’s a bit scuffed but essentially if the drop in split is big enough, they will consider it unsportsmanlike and give you a DQ

@LukeW_Racing Everybody wants to win dude and yes smurfing sucks, there are good people out there who Smurf but I just don’t think it’s right and I’m standing up for it

@Basic_Ollie I mean I agree with you in a sense, I just think it's difficult because again, from the teammate's angle, they want to win too, so it sucks from both sides

No mate you race in the split you should be in when you both sign up together, that’s how it’s designed. Being incredibly talented is not an excuse to go in a much lower split and stop other people from potentially winning their first ever special event. I know you want to have fun but morally it’s not fair… in my opinion

If I am a split 1 driver, and want to have fun with a friend who is much less experienced, I HAVE to put them into split 1, because of my top iRating?
That doesn't make much sense to me to be honest... The guy just wants a fun chill race lol
