A Memorial Day Prayer, Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, On this Memorial Day, we pause in solemn remembrance. We lift our hearts to You in gratitude for the men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. Lord, we thank You for their courage, their sense of duty, and their willingness to lay down their lives so that others might live in freedom. Though we cannot measure the depth of their sacrifice, we honor their memory today and every day. We remember not only their service, but the families they left behind, spouses, children, parents, and friends, who carry the weight of their absence with quiet strength. Comfort all who mourn. Heal the wounds that war has left on hearts and minds. Grant peace to those who still grieve, and surround them with Your loving presence. We pray also for our nation, may we never take for granted the liberties secured by these brave souls. May we live worthy of their sacrifice, cherishing unity, justice, and the precious gift of freedom. Guide our leaders with wisdom, and help us pursue peace wherever possible, so that future generations may know fewer graves marked by conflict. Hold our fallen heroes in Your everlasting arms. May they rest in honored glory, their legacy enduring in the land they loved and defended. In Your holy name we pray, Amen. 🙏
