Fake Plates. Real Consequences. 🚨 @PeelPolice's Safer Roads Team have laid charges in an investigation involving a driver displaying a fake license plate with hate-motivated language. After obtaining video surveillance footage and positively identifying the driver involved, charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act. Hate in any form causes real harm and is unacceptable in our community. Anyone who witnesses or experiences a hate-motivated incident or crime is encouraged to report it.

Does hate = hate crime? Everyone has the right to their beliefs — but no one has the right to threaten, harass, or harm others (or their property) because of who they are. That’s when police get involved. If you see a hate crime in progress, call 911. If it’s not, call 905-453-3311 or report online at peelpolice.ca/report it. #CrimePreventionWeek #CPWeek2025

This afternoon, we were honoured to attend the Sikh Remembrance Day ceremony today at the military grave of Private Buckam Singh, who fought in France during the first World War.   Private Singh was one of only nine Sikh soldiers allowed to serve with the Canadian Forces in World War One, and his grave is the only military grave in Canada of a Sikh soldier from both World Wars.   #LestWeForget

This is so awesome. The Sikh regiments played an oversized role in the Imperial Army for centuries. It was Sikh regiments who relieved the Canadian Army at the Second Battle of Ypres. A proud martial tradition which many Sikhs continue in the @CanadianArmy today.

An historic day at Wellington Barracks 🇬🇧 — the launch of the @1914_Sikhs Ceremonial Marching Troop, honouring the courage, service, and sacrifice of Sikh soldiers so they are never forgotten. Humbled to serve as the first Troop Captain ⚔️🫡 #Sikh #1914Sikhs #BritishArmy

Project Ghost – 13 arrested, nearly 200 charges. A criminal organization dismantled and another step toward ensuring our community feels safe in their own homes. Five youth were among the accused, all of which have been offered referrals for community and safety well-being support to help them change their path and stop their life of crime. #CommunitySafety #PeelRegion #CrimePrevention

What a day! @PeelPolice’s 21 and 22 Divisions were thrilled to host thousands of community members at Gage Park in Brampton for a day of connection and fun. From engaging demos to meaningful conversations, events like these allow the community, especially our youngest members, to engage and have fun with police officers, planting the seeds of trust and future leadership. Thank you to all attendees, organizers and Peel Police for a successful event!
