On April 7, the President announced a double sided, two-week ceasefire subject to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE opening of the Strait. Iran didn’t comply. They gave their word and didn’t keep it. I don’t know what’s different now. Iran never keeps its word.

So let me get this straight: We entered a war supposedly to help the Iranian people and stop the regime’s nuclear ambitions, only for Iranians to end up in an even worse position… and now we may be heading toward a deal that is worse than Obama’s JCPOA? What exactly was the point?

As an Iranian with rare unrestricted internet access with Starlink, I must speak: Iranian families are huddled in fear tonight. This talk of “finalizing” a deal with the Islamic Republic is our worst nightmare.40,000+ Iranians slaughtered — for JCPOA 2.0? Why abandon the path that was finally confronting the regime? The Strait of Hormuz was never closed. We struck to end the nuclear threat, crush radical Islam, and stop the massacre of our people. Instead we get a fake deal that achieves none of it. The regime will keep slaughtering Iranians and racing toward the bomb. They don’t honor agreements — everyone knows this. This is defeat. A humiliating surrender by the side that was winning. I implore you, @realDonaldTrump, @netanyahu and the free world: reconsider. Most Iranians won’t sleep tonight, glued to satellite TV as many don'thave internet. If this deal is signed, history will record the unprecedented shame of a victor choosing surrender. Free Iran will never forget. Pray for us tonight #IranMassacre‌

What was the point of telling the Iranian protesters that help was on the way if we never help them and instead agree to cash and concessions for the regime that slaughters them? I’m so ashamed right now. Those brave Persians deserved more respect than that. And what about avenging our Marines? I’m so ashamed that we have yet to keep that promise. I didn’t vote for weakness.

I am deeply concerned about what we are hearing about an Iran “deal,” being pushed by some voices in the administration. President Trump’s decision to strike Iran was the most consequential decision of his second term. He was right to do so, and we achieved extraordinary military results—including destroying all of their missiles & drones and sinking their entire navy. If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant “death to America”—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake. The details are still coming out—and I pray the early reports are wrong—but the fact that Biden’s Rob Malley is praising the deal is not encouraging. President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer. He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.

If US accepts and honors a deal with Iran, then US has surrendered. What happened to the “unconditional surrender”?

The American naïveté toward Iran has always exposed a fundamental weakness in U.S. foreign policy, historically and today. This is not a partisan issue, it’s an American one. Those blindly shilling for this proposed deal are not doing so because they possess some greater understanding of the Islamic regime than the general public. They are doing it out of loyalty to President Trump and fear of contradicting him publicly. This isn’t about Trump. It’s about what is right for America. The deal as discussed merely pushes an inevitable conflict down the road for someone else to deal with and, just as before, the longer this charade continues, the deadlier the consequences will be. The fact that White House staff are attacking anyone expressing skepticism toward what increasingly appears to be a historic capitulation to the Islamic regime is not because this is politically or morally correct. It is because they are afraid of offending the boss. That is spineless and it reflects everything wrong with modern partisanship. When President Trump is right, I have been among the first to defend him. And yes, there is undeniably a problem in the media with “Trump derangement syndrome.” But when some of Trump’s fiercest allies, along with leading experts on the Islamic regime, particularly Iranians who actually understand it firsthand, are sounding the alarm, it is not because they hate him. It is because they understand the nature of the regime and Islamist terror better. America has always struggled to understand Islamic terrorism because Islamist ideology does not operate according to the logic most Americans instinctively understand. The average American simply does not comprehend decision making rooted in Velayat-e Faqih. I want President Trump to succeed regardless of party because I love America and want it to be secure and successful. But based on what has been discussed publicly so far, this deal will not accomplish that. I also love the people of Iran and the people of Israel. This capitulation abandons them too. Trying to spin a temporary 30 to 60 day pause as a “peace deal” is propaganda. There is nothing peaceful about preserving an IRGC dictatorship that continues to brutalize 92 million people while funding terror across the region. Mark my words: every concession and every dollar released to the Islamic Republic will eventually be paid for in blood, first in the Middle East, and later in the West as well.

Seems like we’re a long way from unconditional surrender.

This cannot be right, there must be something going on. It makes no sense to have the worst deal of all time.
