Today’s game vs Old Edwardians reminds me how much rugby has changed. In 1983 I propped for Beechen Cliff vs King Edwards:
1. None of my team played for England
2. Our front row headbutted our opposite numbers at the same time. We weren’t sent off.
3. We lost 4-0.
