In P6/5 we have been developing our understanding of strategies for multiplication. Today our focus was on Repeated Addition. We discussed why this was not suitable for larger calculations. @BathgateMaths@WLnumeracy@WLmaths
It has been a very busy day announcing the winners of our #EuropeanDayofLanguages competitions. Well done to Sairah for winning the Tik Tok competition and Mrs Dandie @BAcadSocialSubj and Mrs Brown @BathgateMaths for their bakes! Pupils couldn’t choose a star baker! ⭐️
Today Bubble 4 were set a MSH Problem Solving challenge. This P5B pupil challenged herself and completed the Spicy task using the written algorithm for addition and subtraction with regrouping for sums with 3 digits!! @BathgateMaths@WLmaths@WLnumeracy@WLCDYW@WL_STEM

P7/6 were using an empty number line today to solve some tricky sums, we liked using it for some questions but think we could find a more efficient strategy for others 🤔 @MathsScot@BathgateMaths@WLnumeracy
P5A were learning about angles today. We used a protractor to create acute, right, obtuse, straight line and reflex angles. We found it quite tricky at first to ensure we kept the protractor steady. @BathgateMaths@WLmaths@WLnumeracy
P3/2 - Fantastic work from this group today exploring numbers to 100. Roll it with dice, write it, make it with tens and ones and then count it to check you’ve got it right. 🎲 2️⃣2️⃣
