I actually it’s kinda important that it’s a random mugging gone wrong.
Because it forces Bruce to reconcile not only is there no grand meaning or motive associated with crime, but that the guy who killed his parents wasn’t a cackling villain: but a desperate soul.

If you asked a casual about Batman villains between 2005-2020 they'd say Pengun is goofy and Bane is the goat or something

@BatmanRouges How tf did you come to that conclusion? He was a prominent villain in the Arkham series and a main villain in S1 of the Telltale series. Not to mention he was a leading character in the Gotham TV series. All of that was from 2011 all through 2019, and now we have this version too

Now in all seriousness I'm really glad that Penguin has firmly re-established himself as one of the most important figures in the Batman mythos

I really hope THE BATMAN 2 takes it’s time in executing Harvey Dent’s demise into becoming Two-Face.
Matt Reeves wants a trilogy. Give Harvey an entire movie working with Batman & Gordan. With the accident leading into Part 3. No need to fast track him as a Villain like TDK did.
