@TommyDeepwater I selected SDRL and NE because they have less exposure to jack-ups and the Middle East. However, they still dropped together :( I thought the lower deepwater BEP would support a stronger market environment, but right now the stock prices seem heavily driven by geopolitical risks.

BORR secured 2030s (B3/B) traded half to a point lower today. The Mid East is 35-40% of global jackup demand. I believe uncertainty around war and the timing of Aramco's expected rig count recovery spooked equity today Borr diversified globally (~14% Mid East). Mexico a key market after Paratus JU acquisition. Also West Africa, Europe and SE Asia. If the Strait remains closed, it will be difficult for JU's currently in the Middle East to leave the region to bid for international work Both the 2028s and 2030s are callable in November 2026 at 102.5 and 102.594, respectively

Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations for the earnings in the first place. It’s not like they had meaningful order volume booked yet — they were still mostly in the qualification/testing stage. Insider selling obviously isn’t a positive signal, but at the same time, insiders didn’t own a particularly large stake to begin with. Personally, I trimmed my position a bit as well. I started feeling some macro-related uneasiness around semiconductor stocks overall, so it was part of a broader portfolio adjustment.

@Batteryboyyy Not good. Insiders knew the earnings were bad. Sold beforehand. Bunch of bagholders created including me. Genuinely thinking of taking losses for tax reasons and putting it somewhere else. Where will the selloff stop?

8 straight red candles on Auros. Honestly exhausting. But fundamentally, nothing has really changed for me. Still hoping the company can show stronger volume and meaningful progress in 2H. Trying to stay patient.

Not an expert, but in terms of forward P/E, I still think Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix look more attractive than many other stocks. (That was my mistake, I bought Auros more than IDM companies :( ) Semiconductor stocks were traditionally viewed as cyclical, so they usually didn’t receive high P/E valuations. But in this cycle, I’m not sure how the market will value them going forward. Just my thoughts — do your own research and invest wisely.

@Batteryboyyy @Million_Sancet Thanks mate. I'm no expert like you but wanted to invest in the memory industry. I was just wondering if there is anything wrong on the fundamentals or just market manipulation.

Well, more good news keeps rolling in how strange I thought $AAOI was headed for bankruptcy Or at least that's what it looked like when everyone panic sold during the earnings call Well, this is huge news for $AAOI $AAOI has been selected by Mediacom Communications to accelerate their network upgrade to DOCSIS 4.0 The implementation will use Quantum18 smart amplifiers and QuantumLink software to transform connectivity across 22 states What does this involve? It's quite simple: -Massive deployment to reach 1 million homes by 2026 -Drastic improvements in broadband speed and network stability -Intelligent remote management via advanced software $AAOI benefits in the following ways: The agreement confirms the competitiveness of its Quantum technology against other hardware manufacturers A project of this scale ensures workload and a presence in critical telecommunications infrastructure for years to come This is a major validation It solidifies the company as an indispensable partner in the race toward the 10G standard It is yet another booming branch for $AAOI It never ceases to amaze me, and I’m delighted to have it in my portfolio I told you $AAOI had a long way to go
Sancet@Million_Sancet

As I mentioned, I was going to choose between $322310 (Auros) or $AAOI In the end, I opened a position in $AAOI at $149 Contrary to what many think, the results have been very good The financials aren't what's important in these cases, but rather the projections $AAOI is positioned incredibly well for the CPO ramp up The position in $322310 (Auros) is still on the table I might sell the position, but not for this reason Rather, it's because I need liquidity $SIVE is dropping significantly If it continues to fall, I prefer to buy more This way, I can concentrate my portfolio even further

@Ichbin233 @Million_Sancet Asked IR this week, and there’s no update beyond what’s already publicly known. No good news, no bad news either — just the same information we already knew. Do you have any questions? I'm planning to call again this week.

@Ichbin233 Regarding timing, it's true that $AAOI has been significantly better and is delivering returns But it's not Auros's fault either; the entire $EWY is dropping hard I remain very bullish regarding my thesis on it

@aleabitoreddit said several times: nothing changed. What I think: The real trigger for the bullish case will be successfully passing the qualification test and then converting that into meaningful orders from Samsung or SK hynix. Now there’s nothing decided. Make your own investment decisions.

FOCI (3363) is looks extremely compelling around now at ~$3.35B MC for CPO exposure. 1. $TSM COUPE advanced packaging director hinted that FAU supplies by FOCI be a pretty big bottleneck for mass production. 2. Leading supplier for $NVDA and $TSM expected with up to 50% market share from Morgan Stanley note. 3. $HIMX signaled record demand and that Foci should scale up capacity (meaning high medium term demand visibility) 4. FAU and optical components make a large % of CPO related BOM from Goldman Sachs research note. 5. Overarching CPO tam basically goes from near 0 to $91B in the next two years from the GS note. I’m very confident about this theme directionally over time (NFA), despite any recent market volatility. Risks include getting designed out for later generations. But over the next 1-2 years, I think it has high potential to be re-rated compared to other names but might need to be actively monitored. Just throwing out ideas over long positions I hold, for more purer play CPO exposure.
