Actually Nicolle, I’ve stood up to my own party and highly organized interests within it to change the status quo on homelessness, public safety, impact fees on new housing, and many issues. I’ve also challenged the state legislature and governor to fund prop 36, invest in sober living environments, completely overhaul CEQA, etc. We may not agree on particular priorities or policies, but one thing you can’t accuse me of is toeing the party line.

3 weeks ago, two radical Islamists threw bombs at protesters in NYC. This month, a man in a ‘Property of Allah’ shirt killed 2 people in Austin. In Dec, 2 jihadists killed 15 at Bondi Beach. We need to have an honest and respectful conversation about radical Islam in the West.

For a while I've thought that FSD V14 wasn't going to blow my mind cuz FSD V13 has performed so well for me. I was wrong, very wrong. FSD V14 is blowing my mind right now. For the first time ever, I can select my home as the destination and the car parks itself when I arrive. FSD V14.1 automatically finds a parking spot and parks perfectly. No longer do you have to take over once you arrive at your destination. Also, when you start your trip, FSD now starts MUCH faster than before, like immediately. I love it. The best part? FSD V14.1 remembers your preferences for arrival options and your preferred parking positions for each destination. I can't wait to test some more later today.

I’m gonna say something, and it’s gonna be long. So save your “TL;DR” memes. This is mostly out loud therapy, so if I were you I’d scroll on. Be warned. Like many if not most of you, I’m a lifelong Kings fan, and will be till the day I die. Geography forced me into this relationship, and I’ve built a lifetime (and career) telling myself “the good times make the bad times worth it”, but even when good times come, it seems they’re either fleeting (now), or attached to brutal pain (2002). Last night I was angry, wanted everyone fired/traded, and I haven’t necessarily changed. But this morning I mostly feel bad for the following (in no particular order): Fox: Yeah, that end of game play sucked. And all this contract stuff couldn’t have happened at a worse time. But dude LOVES this city. Hell, he just named his shoe after a local business, giving them tons of attention. I know he WANTS to be here, but maybe it’s not in the cards. I think if you asked “would you rather win here or somewhere else”, he’d say here in a heartbeat. Mike Brown: Again, good guy. Yes, I know you’d rather have winning bad guy than losing good guy, but character counts. He loves this city, he goes to local games and makes himself present. Loving Sacramento is a great bonus to have. And like Fox, he deserves some blame. But I know he WANTS to win. Desperately. But results are results. He was at the helm for the breaking of the 16 year streak. I’ll always love him for that alone. Vivek: He may not know how to build a successful franchise. He may be a lot of things. But the guy is here pretty much every game, not on his phone, living and dying with the team. You might see a pattern here, but you can’t tell me dude doesn’t want to win badly. And he wrote the check to save the team and all. So there’s that. Kings employees: Fans can (try) and turn things off if they get bad. Imagine your entire life revolves around this team, which you have no control over. I’m talking rank and file people. Imagine your entire workplace mood relies on 20 something’s making baskets. People who work for winning franchises would practically do the job for free. It’s a labor of love. But when things are bad, it’s just a sad labor. Most of all, fans: Everyone above makes an ungodly amount of money being involved with the club (sans the rank and file, who are also fans so it doubly sucks). Fans however, spend their money and time year after year to likely be more sad than happy. And then we infect our kids, like a bad sports virus, to continue the cycle. On the surface it’s insane: imagine infecting your children on PURPOSE with a disease that has brought you mostly pain, knowing they’ll likely infect THEIR kids, on what? The hope that it MIGHT turn around for them? That’s what my dad thought too. There are plenty more I forgot, but it just sucks. Yes there are FARRRRRRRR worse things than a losing sports team, I haven’t lost the plot. And yes, you can walk away. I just want all of us to experience wins together. 2nd round playoff wins. Semifinal wins. Conference final wins. G1C on a June afternoon for the Finals. A championship parade downtown, where the flow of tears rivals the two rivers we have. Where generations embrace knowing it was all worth it. Faith and the evidence of things unseen, that’s all we have. We’re all in this together, but I’m tired of us constantly bailing water out of the sinking ship Proud to be on this journey to hell with all of you. To the end.

Feelin’ bullish in a multitude of ways as we approach 2025. Enjoyed the company of many loving friends and fam recently who amplify this sentiment. Tangible and meaningful progress is being made. The residues of anxiousness and the mirage of stagnation are waning.
