First grass fire of the spring! Residents please remember you need a burn permit from the municipality to burn any brush pile that doesn’t fit in a 2ft x 2ft fire pit, and please keep a way to extinguish any fire on hand should it get out of control!

NOTICE: there is currently a fire ban in effect for Huron County. This means no open air burning is allowed, this includes camp fires and all recreational fires.

@toradams_ No there is no burn ban in the Municipality of Bluewater at this time. However if you wish to have a open air fire there is a bylaw that you must adhere to. municipalityofbluewater.ca/Public/Open-Ai…. Please ensure you have an extinguishing source near by, use clean dry firewood and use a fire pit

Just going to put this here. Missed the trucks for today’s alarm call because not a single vehicle in either direction managed to pull over. It’s not the law but it’s courtesy, hopefully it isn’t your house or loved one that needs our help! #firefighters #greenlight
