@buperac So sad. I’ve heard these stories over and over again. My niece had to go to Nevus, in the Caribbean to get her medical degree. Then Chicago to do years of training before coming back to Canada for many years training. Finally early 40s she has her own medical practice.

My buddies son graduated high school this past year with high 80’s marks in all his classes.
He applied for engineering at University of Alberta, University of Calgary and University of Manitoba. He got rejected at every single university. Even his second choice was rejected.
The only program he got accepted into was a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary, he’s not going.
He’s a white straight male.

Some people, we’re not exactly sure who, showed up to my mother in laws house while she was out and dropped off all of these for Baby Alvin 🙏
We’re incredibly thankful & grateful, also we need to figure out who it was, my wife is determined to write & mail everyone a thank you card this week 😂

We have a seven year old entrepreneur in our neighborhood. He put out flyers and everything. He rolls your garbage can to the curb the night before trash pick up & rolls it back to your garage once it’s picked up. We of course signed up for this service & we pay him $5 a week.
When we signed up he came to our house with his parents to introduce himself. We congratulated him on his new business! He told us he was saving money for a car. We asked him what kind of car and he said a Lamborghini!! 😂
So…. my husband reached out to our local Lamborghini dealer GM via email asking for a long shot that they might be able to bring a car by to surprise the little boy. The GM called us within six minutes. He said we’re not brining one car, we are bring many.
This Saturday there will 10 to 15 Lamborghinis parading on our block and will stop at the little boy’s house for pictures & a ride.
I cannot wait!!

I was lucky to cross paths with an amazing woman on November 28, 2019. Sometimes it’s still hard to believe that Kirsten decided to stick with me after our first date, but she did, and she’s shown me what it’s like to have a true partner in life.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank her parents, Jerry and Pam, for being the amazing parents who made her who she is today, and her brother Gerard and his wife Sadye for their constant love and support. The night of our engagement was made even more special by being surrounded by the friends Kirsten and I have made together over the years, people who are kind, loyal, and bring out the best in us.
The only thing missing was four very important people who couldn’t be with us that night, but I know their presence at our wedding will make that day even more meaningful.
Kirsten, thank you for saying yes. I can’t wait to spend forever with you.
