After the huge delays with the National Children’s Hospital, the government has unbelievably gone and awarded the same company a massive public construction contract to deliver a building programme for technological universities across the state. You could not make this up! Government says that “any change would delay this project”, which is exactly what we heard when Simon Harris gave the green light for the Children’s Hospital. The government must urgently come to their senses and pull out of the latest public construction contract with Invesis (a company controlled by BAM). This has the potential to be another children’s hospital. The same plans can and should be used to re-tender the project for direct build by another construction company!
