Another horrible experience during the World Cup in the US After the match I went to a restaurant in Boston I know about the tipping culture in the US, so I was prepared to leave a generous 3% To my shock, the bill arrived with 22% already added "What is this?" I called the waiter over "Oh, we include the tip in the bill, so it is easier to pay" "Please remove it. Tipping is not mandatory and legally I am only required to pay for my meal" "This is not how it works here, buddy... The tip is included" he said arrogantly I looked around. The entire staff was African-American and staring at me At this moment I was afraid it could get ugly, and that I might even get shot, so I paid and left On the bus back to the hotel I immediately contacted my German bank to start a chargeback process America really is a 3rd world country
