@Dauragon Oh, already am. The manga was on the downturn for like 70 chapters or so, so I was already ready for the ending to flop. The only shame was how wasted Asa and Yoru were, since everyone else that mattered already had a satisfying conclusion in Part 1.

I said this on bsky but a big contribution to the discourse is the manga was wrapping up, but without saying so, so the ending seems out of nowhere but if you go back and reread like 10 chapters it's so obvious lol.

this is my problem with the current discussion. these last two chapters show that what fujimoto wanted to say is different than what we assumed. but no one wants to re-examine the manga through that lens, just dismissing it as bad or inconsistent. at least try and consider it

A mí la escena del vuelo o de la caída de las que tanta gente se queja, me parecen mucho más funcionales qué cosas como esta. Me saca un poco de la inmersión que los personajes estén tan duros en algunas escenas de dialogo

@Dauragon The issue is that the conclusion feels completely like the wrong one when you consider everything that led up to it. It very much feels like Fujimoto had something he wanted to do while ingoring what he actually wrote.

@Dauragon "So obvious" Man, we had the rules for what Pochita's powers did spelled out for us way in advance. There's no shame in saying that the ending makes no sense.
We all knew the manga was wrapping up, even if we probably thought we had 10 more chapters or so.

Ch 223 ends with Yoru summoning the moon
Ch 224 it's Pochita telling Denji that the earth is destroyed, they all floating in the space forever and he has to erase himself to fix it
Ch 225 is just 232 and the manga ends

I feel like you guys dislike this ending for completely different reasons than I do because I don't give a shit about that at all. Pochita ate himself because saving the world isn't Denji's cross to bear. That's the one thing part 2 manages to communicate.

Making Annihilape stronger, for example, by having you guess if he's gonna be a rage fist or final gambit set isn't either of those things. Nor is having to guess the achilles heel of a Muk minimize set.
