Our end of semester arcade/axe throwing night was a blast! A great way to destress after a busy semester. Thank you to all who attended!!

Creating this mentorship program has been an incredible experience! Especially with the help of @nlyons77 @jmaemontgomery @BrittanyhVT3 and Spenser Stone. We hope this program will help the students joining the @vtbiochem program have a great start to their grad school journey!

Last week was the wrap-up of a pilot mentorship program put together by the BcGSA! We want to help our first years with the adjustment to grad school and provide a way for them to have a support system during the transition. (1/3)

Recently, the @JustinLemkulVT Lab attended #BPS2023! In the spirit of conference season, we want to feature @ligilpineda, third-year Ph.D. student who was able to present her work in two different poster sessions! She also received a travel award from the conference! 🤯 (1/4)

Last month, @BcGSAVT hosted a Back to Semester Bowling Night at McClain's and what a fun night it was! Or dare we say, what a STRIKING night it was... 🎳

#NSURP2023 is here! Supported by @NSF, NSURP is a community-driven initiative to create rewarding remote summer research experiences for BIPOC and Latinx undergraduates in the fields of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer. Applications for our 2023 cohort are now open!

Spenser has also been the mastermind behind our journal clubs this year, and has done an amazing job facilitating community within our department! 😍 (4/4)
