Southern Nigerians are tiring, I swear. You lot have lived in this small area for a thousand years. Cultural exchanges are inevitable, come off it!

In all of this discourse, I just want to mention that I am surprised by the amount of research materials I have seen that shows research into the Yoruba culture. It’s so impressive and makes me feel so proud😂

@tinaolajumoke Where did you borrow stew from? Where did you borrow garri ijebu from? Acknowledge it fast fast. If not for the internet would you have acknowledged Jollof as well?

Children of baby factories are all over my TL. 😂

“Ronuism.” I can't believe y'all are turning “Yoruba Ronu” into a slur. This is insanity.

Quote this post with any picture of Gele 🔥

There is no culture in Nigeria today that everything they have culturally is theirs and 100% indigenous. Every culture borrowed from another culture at some point and made it their own. Whether it is food, clothing/style, smithing, or art. We’ve all borrowed from ourselves.

If we can’t come together and agree that gele and ichafu are actually the same thing in different languages then we have truly failed as a people. Unity in diversity is but a dream in this country.
