@seddon_dan @moneyandflying @SamaHoole @alembord Fuck me, you’d give an aspirin a headache. You said climate change was BS and used the fact in the UK you eat the sheep you produce. Thats like saying I grew an apple therefore gravity is BS. Hence this conversation. Your comment had nothing to do with the original post

Britain is 110% self-sufficient in lamb. Let that sink in for a moment. Not "pretty good." Not "mostly fine." One hundred and ten percent. We grow more than we eat and export the rest. We have done this on permanent upland pasture that cannot be used for anything else, managed by farmers whose families have worked the same ground for generations, using animals that have been optimised for these conditions over centuries. 85% self-sufficient in beef. 100% in milk. 90% in eggs. The animal products on your plate, if you're eating in Britain, are almost certainly British. The supply chain is: farm, abattoir, butcher or supermarket. Measured in miles. Sometimes in tens of miles. Now. Your January strawberries are from Egypt. Your year-round peppers are from Spain or Morocco. Your salad leaves are from Israel in winter. Your green beans come from Kenya. Your blueberries are from Peru or Chile. They travel by refrigerated air freight, which is roughly fifty times more carbon-intensive per kilogram than road transport, to sit in a plastic clam shell next to a small flag and the word "fresh." The environmental argument against British animal products is not an environmental argument. It is a geography argument made by people who have not checked where their food comes from. Check where your food comes from.

@seddon_dan @moneyandflying @SamaHoole @alembord Again, not once did I claim livestock is the issue. Anima farming is great, especially for soil regeneration. You’re the one making vague points to try and get a rise by pretending to be ignorant. Do better my man

I didn’t mention humans. Claiming livestock causes climate change implies livestock is “the problem”. See how the “live” in livestock is a synonym with “life”. This isn’t too hard to follow along with, perhaps you should try doing that before calling people ignorant and mentioning “studies” - as though you have a clue, which you clearly don’t ….

@seddon_dan @moneyandflying @SamaHoole @alembord I mean you’re taking a leap there. No studies suggest human life is the problem. That’s like saying people drive cars, sometimes people die in car accidents, therefore the solution is to exterminate all people that own a car. If you wish to remain ignorant then that’s up to you

I don’t care much for peered reviewed studies when the ideas that are downstream of them are so farcical and easily pulled apart. Clearly, that was the thrust of my comment - if a theory concludes that we must exterminate life, because its existence threatens life, it’s pretty safe to say the theory is bollocks. Similarly, if a theory concludes renewable energy is sensible….

@BeSc1988 @seddon_dan @SamaHoole @alembord The rise in CO2 has, so far, been beneficial not destructive (as people claimed since at least 1970s). Planet is greener, and humans less likely to die from heat than cold. 👍

@seddon_dan @moneyandflying @SamaHoole @alembord Regardless of the reasons, the climate is getting warmer yes, and we must respond to this. Overwhelming evidence suggests the reason for this warming is CO2 in the atmosphere but maybe you have written and had peer reviewed a study which discredits this widely accepted fact

@GayoCaesar @secondtierpod I thought they’d asked for another 1 point to be added to the points deduction, or is there another charge outstanding?

So many Americans on you tube channels say crumpets and English muffins are the same. They are not. One is dough like you toast and add butter and jam etc. Crumpets are from a batter and have holes and you don't cut in half. I think American yiu tubers should check beforehand.

@vanderlimit @SpurredOff @StevieMitc9903 @catgirlprostate British Victories during the war of independence: 15 American victories: 8 So the ‘countless’ figures can in fact, be counted. The American insurgents fought to a draw, the British decided it wasn’t worth the effort and withdrew. Kind of like what happened to the US in Vietnam

Is there anyone on here who thinks we’ll stay up? Like honestly? 😂 Genuinely intrigued, looking at our run-in it’s going to take a miracle, we’ve always had a goalscorer. Rhodes, Dack, Armstrong, Gestede (Prick), Szmodics, Brereton. This team has nothing going forward. #rovers

Who would you want to stay at the club next season? (Not including youth) Toth Ribeiro Carter Pratt Tronstad Hedges Everyone else should be sold/released and we completely start again. 90% of this squad wouldn't make a league 2 team. #rovers

If we don’t win on Saturday, and I mean all 3 points, I’m done with this group! There’s zero fight and zero care. Too many of them think they're too good for us, but the truth is none of them are (apart from Mori). And if you’re not going to respect us, don’t expect respect back.

@Monty5493 That’s not fair at all. Runs his socks off every game, top goal scorer for the team. There’s plenty of others that could take the blame for our position other than him. And at least he gives a toss

500 jobs lost in 25 min call, 200,000 grass roots crowd funders left with nothing, press annouced the takeover before the workers were told. The company lost 97% of its value in 9 years but James Watt cashed out his money, sharing £100m ‘Punk ethos’? 🤔 theguardian.com/business/2026/…

@HughEdw31897368 @BraidseaQuine Of all the things wit Brewdog, you can’t describe their beer as ‘good’. It’s poor quality beer, but they found a gap in the market for people wanting to drink generic piss water but made it cool

Bad news about Brewdog, once valued at £1 billion sold in a fire sale for £33 million. Poor management, bullying, stopped paying the living wage and hosting Farage. A recipe for disaster. Thankfully I didn’t invest in “equity for punks” but know many that did.
