Wanting to change the law doesn't mean you should put up with unequal enforcement of the current laws in the meantime though, does it. One of their party members was literally murdered two weeks ago. If someone wore a T-shirt depicting the execution of a Remain MP in the wake of Jo Cox's death the police would be around their house is 2 minutes flat

@BBCNews Reform claims to be pro freedom of speech and then try to leverage the very laws they should be abolishing over a trivial matter like this. Pathetic.

Itโ€™s literally not rained for a month in southern England, and the Westminster press corps just spent weeks saying Ed Miliband is bad because he takes climate change seriously. We are almost certainly in the foothills of really significant changes to everyday life.

Lot of excitement over yesterday's poll. It's only one poll. Crossover hasn't been reached yet. But Reform's decline is locked in. At the moment none of Nigel Farage's various attempts at shifting the narrative are having any effect.

There's a world of difference between us inviting Jews fleeing the Nazis, Ukrainian women with their children or the people fleeing a former colony in Asia to avoid reprisals from the CCP and thousands of young men invading our shores with no identification and a rehersed sob story, most of who are from countries where there is major conflict going on

Completely agree. The right wing press are a huge issue in public figures promoting British made goods. Why? Because they often arenโ€™t cheap, and so it opens you up to accusations of elitism and being โ€˜out of touchโ€™.
Tom Forth@thomasforth

And we should probably be more open about promoting that, like the French and Italians do. Just as the right wing press have come after Andy for buying British clothes, so the right wing twitter lot came after me for buying a British kitchen knife. But we have to hold firm.

Condemning all Muslims for the actions of one terrorist is as ridiculous as condemning all Christians for the actions of Anders Brevik. Billions follow Islam peacefully and condemn violence. It is right to reach out to all who feel scared or persecuted: Muslim and LGBT+ alike.

"Drill and bills come down." It's the most repeated idea in energy politics. It's also wrong. A clean energy saves us money. Increasing drilling makes no impact on your bills. The numbers have been clear for year. It's time the politics caught up.

@tobyperkinsmp @afneil Toby, do you not know Germany is part of the EU so couldn't run a strategy like this. EU laws strictly ban protectionist measures, to ensure a single market with fair competition. Why don't you know this as an MP ? If there are more German vehicles, it's because they're better.

This hardline protectionist โ€˜Buy Britishโ€™ approach to public procurement is only possible because of Brexit. How do you square it with the desire, oft proclaimed by Keir Starmer and now Andy Burnham, that we need to align much more closely with EU rules? Also โ€” donโ€™t we have a number of agreements with other countries, in and out of the EU, for fair dealing when it comes to procurement? Wonโ€™t we be in breach of them?
John Healey@JohnHealey_MP

You will see this as a determined drive that you have not seen before from a British government. Buying British not โ€œif possibleโ€, but by design. So every procurement pound supports British jobs, British apprenticeships and British skills. thesun.co.uk/news/39871373/โ€ฆ
