My husband insisted I go to bed last night and my first thought was "don't you tell me what to do" and then I took a pause and was like "Okay why?" and he was like
"Because you're on your period and you bleed a lot and your iron gets very low which means you need a lot more sleep."
So I went to bed, because damn he sure told me.

I've been married 5 years. Still married because we treat these like law:
• Bed is for sleep and sex only
• No phones in bedroom
• Kids asleep? We talk. 5 mins or 3 hours. Doesn't matter. We talk
• Pray together before sleep
• We eat every meal together
• No screens when eating
• And we never, and I mean NEVER criticize each other in public
Your marriage is your son's blueprint, and your daughter's standard.

Choose someone you can talk to about a lot of things, like economics, lifestyle, health, sports, music, movies, psychology, and who's WILLING to learn new things even if they don't have to be an expert.
Talking is an art; if it's just gossiping about celebrity drama on social media, better to skip it.

I think about this ALL THE TIME.
Men talk about being protectors - but in nature, it’s actually the women/females that do the protecting…

This Doberman mom is protecting her puppies from their dad as male dogs generally lack paternal instincts and may view newborns as prey, toys, or intruders 🔥

Think not of the books you’ve bought as a “to be read” pile. Instead, think of your bookcase as a wine cellar. You collect books to be read at the right time, the right place, and the right mood.
