This isn’t the quote I’d have taken from this brilliant article by @nicolelampert about Iranian allyship. I went with my littluns to the ILA’s (Iranian Liberty Association) Christmas event on Saturday. It was a lovely event where the kids stuffed their faces with many helpings of barley soup, Persian lentils and as many sweeties as they could carry. There were classical music performances, speeches and holding of roses in the name of freedom and liberty. A grandad on our table made a fuss of my girls (as did so many lovely people) and told me about his grandson who lives in Sweden, who’s about to turn 2. This boy’s mother was 3 1/2 when her mother, this man’s wife, was murdered by the regime. They’ve murdered and terrorise thousands of innocent people. They want IRGC proscribed as a terrorist group and want the world to pay attention to those they oppress and the brave people speaking out. They deserve all our support ♥️🇮🇷

BREAKING: Fertility rates in Britain collapses to RECORD LOW.
It is now 1.44 children per women, the lowest number since records began in 1938.
This is a complete disaster.

I’ve just read Keir Starmer has taken down Margaret Thatcher’s portrait. Whatever side of the political spectrum you happen to be, she was the first woman to lead a political party in this Country and the first female Prime Minister. So petty and beneath him.
