We are sad to report our 8-year-old K9 Baro passed away this morning of a medical emergency. Baro served the Houston Police Department since 2015. He was responsible for getting numerous suspects off the streets of Houston and protecting his city from explosive devices. 1/2

Earlier, an Uber Eats driver was driving along the 7900 blk of Yellow Pine, when someone fired multiple shots. Driver pulled into a yard, attempting to retreat, and more shots were fired upon him. Driver drove a few blocks to the 9800 blk of Woodland Oaks to call for help. (1/2)

A quick story. I’m on ambulatory medicine at the VA. Yesterday I went to get a patient from the waiting room. A Black man who served in Vietnam. When I introduced myself as Dr. Igwe, he gave me a very strange look. I asked if I had the wrong person, but he said “no, that’s me”.
