Ederson looks like it could happen. Always liked the player. But can't ignore he's 27 this summer, not a Brazilian international, never played in the Prem, and 40 mil for a Serie A player with one year left on his contract isn't cheap

I don't know how I feel about this... People say he’s the third choice but even if that’s true, does it make sense to spend money on a backup before you even know what your first options will cost? You need two quality midfielders, right? You’ll be negotiating big fees and knowing how clubs price United, you’re probably looking at £70–100m each. So is it really smart to commit part of your budget to a backup before any of that is even sorted?
