Men did not cross oceans for me, and I was perfectly willing to be committed to a kind man with shared values. I met my perfect match when I was 35. I know I’ll be with him forever as we grow our family and life together. I was raised to be able to support myself, which I did. I’m creative and not stereotypically beautiful. What I’m saying is, not every young person will be fortunate to find their right person, no matter how much they try. Sometimes it takes years. And if it does, it’s good to have a plan and know your body if you want to be a parent.

First kid at 41, second at 43. I honestly love being exactly where I am. I’m way more financially secure, emotionally secure, established my career and confident than I was at 30, by orders of magnitude. My kids will know the best me, not the one struggling and havjng FOMO at their soccer games. BIG caveat: My kids are IVF. I met the love of my life in my mid 30’s and I didn’t want to risk the heartbreak of miscarriage or birth defects. We had the financial means to pay for eggretrievals in my 30’s to freeze embryos so we could really plan for our family. It’s posssible to be an older mother, and it may even be better in some ways if your health is good. BUT YOU HAVE TO PLAN FOR IT. That’s what really needs to be communicated. Family planning. You have to have a plan and as soon as possible. Women need to learn about and track their bodies better in their 20ms 30’s and freeze their eggs.

@thomasunise @AutismCapital That’s not the post. The post is that time moves at such a rate in your 40s, you’ll be 70 in a blink. And you’ll be dead before you know it. Hathaway will be 61 when her kid turns 18. 73 when they are 30. If they wait to 43 for grands…she’ll never know them.
