My outlook on the Lions: I’m not convinced with this team. They had their shot. You don’t get opportunity after opportunity after opportunity to live up to the pre season hype only to fail. The offensive skill positions look like the best in the league on paper but it never translates when it’s time for big games or against good defenses. It’s going on yr 4. I think the window is closed. To me the OL is overrated. Sewell going to LT isn’t going to be as flawless as they think. Their rookie RT ain’t as good as they think. Losing Monty will hurt. Their OC is a hot pack of mid, and he ain’t Ben Johnson. And there’s nothing intimidating about their defense at all. Kerby as a top Safety is done. Those degenerative knees will have him mid at best. Who knows when Branch will be back from a late season Achilles injury. Their offense will carry them to 7 wins guaranteed wins against bad teams but other than that I’m just not sold on them. Too much turnover on talent, and coaching. Too many things have to go right just for them to compete for the division. I’m not buying them

Bears did something that never happens won a division with a losing record only 2-4 in the division that’s not good🤷🏻‍♂️

The perception of Dan Campbell vs Matt LaFleur is fascinating to me because whatever criticisms can be leveled at LaFleur, Campbell also has (ex: heinous playoff collapses) only he’s had less sustained success. Campbell gets graded on a curve for doing it with the Lions.
