Their obsession with slashing ties and their incompetence in governance led Britain into deep crisis and national depression. When they finally lost control, they didn’t even try to fix their mess, they surrendered and called a snap election to escape responsibility. Now, Labour is picking up the pieces. Fixing the economy, fulfilling Brexit’s promise, and actually putting British people back to work, things the Tories and UKIP never could.

If you work hard, you should be paid enough to get on in life. But years of Tory decline left working people struggling. I said I would fight for those people, and I am. Today we're giving millions of Britons a pay rise.
