@theslaussen @KyleStribe I’m not saying I agree with either side, but it’s more than recruiting that can be seen as an advantage. Many factors like selective enrollment and socioeconomic differences can perpetuate this perceived gap.

@KyleStribe Bullshit take. Bellevue Marquette has made the State Championship 3 years in a row with ZERO recruiting. 2 Bellevue schools made the tournament this year, and look at the last 5 years in substate or state with both schools. Point the finger in other area schools sure, no other.

I am in no way arguing as I have not dug deep enough into the numbers to figure out the whys but seeing 4 teams from private schools in the 1a and 2a finals is making me think about what could be done differently?

@BeauW35 Unfortunately, the NFHS has a broad standard on what is considered an assist. This means there could be 3, 4, or more get credit for an assist. I wish they went the college route of 1 solo or 2 assists max per play. 60 offensive plays should yield less than 60 total tackles.

Nice to see the same schools padding stats still. When less than half your tackles are solo something smells fishy. Giving a half to everyone near the pile?
