@NICU_Musings I don't get the point to this. It's very burdensome and puts another barrier between baby and parents. If humidity is needed for small babies- possibly. I'm all all about new neonatal technology, but this seems unnecessary.

A device to measure how much breastmilk is fed to a baby would certainly take the guess work out & stop pre/post weights to estimate volumes!

We don't see electrical activity on u/s, we see movement. An embryo of a certain size without a heartbeat is a pregnancy failure.

The NICU RN's, NNP's, Neo's, RT's, PT's, and the parents all see it, we all know it. That's also why we tell the babies we're sorry over and over again as we do something painful like starting IV's, removing tape, suctioning their ETT, etc.
