@meanderingtripe It's as if no other road in any other city isn't closed to motor traffic with plenty of notice for a short period. Used to live on the Dublin Marathon route, would literally sleep through most of it and the organisers/council would have the roads reopened asap

One thing that should be made clear — and you'll see this with anyone who has any national profile in the media — is that there are no facts on which to accuse Roger Randle of anything, or to say he should be denied opportunities off the back of. To do so would be defamatory.

Taken time to think since Wednesday. The hiring of Randle comes down to two things — facts vs optics. If you go with facts, there's no reason not to hire him. No trial, no proven allegations, no cross-examined evidence and innocence completely maintained over 30 years.

@ellsdesign_ Unfortunately it will likely take financial action from fans unless the IRFU can pull rank. We're not renewing our season tickets unless the appointment is rescinded. On a positive note, at least those 3 board members had a backbone and resigned

It honestly breaks my heart and makes me sick to the pit of my stomach the recent decisions made by my beloved rugby club Munster. They have lost my support and until the right decision is made that will be the continued outcome.

@T2Rugby @SaulOvah For Munster, kids in Limerick aren't encouraged into rugby, its mostly hurling. Kerry is football. Cork, Clare and Tipperary are a mixture of the two. Any potential front rows are also discouraged from sport because they're "too slow" or "too big" for GAA or soccer in PE

@SaulOvah You miss the point. The difference is here is Ireland had Munster & Ulster produce more top players as recently as just 15 years ago. What changed?

If it wasn't for the posh Leinster schools success and excellent project player recruitment would we be talking of Irish rugby as having issues different but as bad as Wales? Take out Leinster & overseas produced players and probably they rank on a par or maybe slightly below them. Also mention in this of internal Irish migration to Dublin. Is that plausible explanation Munster produce less homegrown talent than 15-20 years ago? Although Ulster produce less than 15 years ago too so need an explanation for that too. And out of interest has Ireland as a whole become broadly more Dublin centric over last decade in things other than rugby as well or just IRFU?

@KingdofDesmond @Munsterannie @Munsterrugby @richarddaly The novelty wears off very quickly as its not a good stadium for a rugby game, a lot of people have gone to the other games held there and either never went back or won't be going back. Unless the draw is a big side, I believe the ticket sales will be down on the last game

@Munsterannie @Munsterrugby @richarddaly They need to do a better job for season ticket holders and address a couple of other issues for sure. I'm not going to pretend it's the best venue for a rugby match but 1 or 2 matches a season there will bring in money and grow the fan base.

Another point of contention will be Cat C tickets will be allocated to TP holders even if they are Cat A in TP, you have to pay extra to upgrade (if better seats are available)

@EoinhHurley @CianTracey1 Anyone in the South Stand is forced to follow Blackrock Rd (Monaghan Rd if lucky and get someome who lets you through a barrier) so it does take the guts of an hour, other stands are likely quicker

@daraboyce @Padraiccleary @AineFitzgeraldA We've probably 10,000 when you think of the illegal parking ala Brown Thomas staff and others on Thomas Street and Little Thomas Street. As well as those parked at junctions, pedestrian crossings, dropped kerbs etc
