We’ve average around 15% moisture an 61.2# TW coming out of bins. Which begs question, we get docked quickly for having low TW but why don’t we get a premium for 61+ pound test weight? Especially since every metric of this is technically number 1 yellow not #2 yellow dent

People who live by big dairies how bad is the smell? I would assume it’s no different than any cattle operation regardless of the size.

Observations from today •scouting on foot in the mud burns tons of calories. Need to do more of that •love the residue from corn on corn •row shutoffs are badass •the JD 7000 isn’t near as great as the Fendt Momentum but I’m happy with my stands •Calmer corn head does an excellent job on corn stalks. Made no tilling beans in 200-250+ bushel residue very nice. • need floaters for the sprayer. Even when spraying on dry ground the indentions will wash •that rain saved my ass from having to replant beans due to a hard clay crust •going to have blanks on the hillsides from corn seed washing before it sprouted. Yuck.
