Tonight, we honored five of Pennsylvania’s bravest, at the 31st FOP Memorial Service, remembering the officers who lost their lives in 2025. Last year was a tragic year for the Pennsylvania law enforcement community. As heartbreaking as it was to have to say goodbye to these brave heroes, our part is not done. We must resolve ourselves to finish the work that these officers will never get to finish. Career Fest is officially wrapped! A massive congratulations to our partners @PHLschools and @CityofPhiladelphia for this incredible, three-week initiative to show students how many paths there are to their dreams. As Attorney General Sunday said, he didn’t have a plan after the military. Hard work, in whatever form it takes, can get you to places you’d never expect.

Look. I KNOW it is no longer shocking to everyone. But I will (personally) never get over West Linn's Payton Pritchard being such a menace in the playoffs. (Also #GoDucks but it is just bizarre to me)

I am grateful for the quick action of law enforcement that ensured the safety of the attendees at this evening’s White House Correspondents’ Association after shots rang out. Praying for all those affected by this awful incident.

Thank you, K9 Mizu. You will never be forgotten.

K9 Mizu helped us partner with every state and federal agency, as well as many local departments, and was deeply loved by those who had the privilege of working with her. Her handler, SSA Robert Weber, retired from OAG after the loss. But we are forever grateful for the incredible, thoughtful and dedicated care he and his family provided Mizu during her lifetime.

Last year, our office lost one of our most accomplished agents, K9 Mizu, after a short battle with cancer. Mizu joined the Office in 2017, as the first in the re-started OAG Narcotics K9 Unit. Over the course of her 8-year career, K9 Mizu helped OAG seize more than 20,000 kilos of cocaine, hundreds of kilos of fentanyl and crystal meth, and participated in over 150 arrests.

Last evening a Pennsylvania family received the call all law enforcement families fear. Their loved one would not be coming home.  State Police Corporal Tim O’Connor was conducting a traffic stop in Chester County when he was fired upon and killed by the individual in the stopped car. It is a tragic reminder that no traffic stop is ever routine, and that every day our law enforcement face unknown dangers as they work to protect us.  Corporal O’Connor leaves behind a wife and young daughter as well as his parents. Our hearts break for them as it does for the entire PA State Police family.

We at the Office of Attorney General are standing with our friends and partners at @PAStatePolice and @PSTA_1962. I join all Pennsylvanians in praying for them and all law enforcement tonight and always.
