There’s a conversation happening on TikTok where the girls are finally talking about how a lot of men aren’t actually attractive. Like you go to the grocery store and see a ton of stunning women, but men? You will remember how many months back you last saw a hot man.

@grungepoptart @AccordingToLee This post highlights discrepancy between efforts that men and women generally put into their appearance. Op states women put more effort in their appearance, your retort is “oh yeah well what if women couldn’t do that?!” Like where are you going with this?

Someone likely pulled off the side of the road & rolled this large tire down the hill & into the mangroves of Clearwater's Stevenson Creek. I rolled this 60 pounder back up the 30 foot hill for City pickup. People illegally dumping tires is a huge problem in the US

I have a theory that people who listen to instrumental music or music in languages they don't understand have very loud and chatty internal monologues.

@Noahpinion I went to my first knitting class thinking I’d have to tone it down and I’ll be damned with surprise, those ladies would help you hide the right bodies

@ConsciousFilth Like as a parent, we want our children to grow into independent beings, but if I’m looking at my selfish parts I want them always there being clever and busying my time.

@Beckyscake Same but I've changed my approach with my daughter because of how it made me feel. I tell her she has to make a way on her own and have a plan but I'm always there if she needs me.

Knew a guy in high school whose parents told him once he graduated, he was on his own. Sure enough, after the ceremony, he goes home & they tell him he needs to be out that night. He couch surfed while working at a roofing company. Pretty sure he died of an overdose during Covid.

@HankVenture5 My parents regularly threatened kicking me out at 18, as if it were unavoidable natural occurrence, yet were wildly surprised when I moved out jr year. Makes no sense, I want my kids to stay forever.

if it’s okay to ask, what are your favourite struggle meals…? i’m talking less than 15 minutes to prep and cook. i don’t mind if it’s not the best nutritionally, i’m just looking for a way to eat more than late night take-out. life is hard atm, the least i can do is eat 🙇‍♀️

People talk a lot about “catholic guilt” but there’s no christian demographic with a worse upbringing than people from evangelical families. “You can’t watch Yu-Gi-Oh, listen to rock music, play D&D or play violent video games” is just a small part of it

@luvrgrrrl777 The downside of expressing gratitude for something you don't like, is that they may remember - and give you variations on That Thing You Like *forever*....

An 11-year-old called his mom from the side of a busy highway, alone and terrified: “I’m very scared… come pick me up.” His school didn’t even notice he was gone. While Dundee Middle School was consumed by an ICE walkout, Harley — an 11-year-old with a federally protected disability plan — was left behind. He wandered miles from campus during the chaos, all the way to Rt. 72 & Randall Rd — one of the busiest intersections in the county. No absence alert. No tardy notification. Nothing. Harley has an IEP — a legally binding federal plan schools must follow to protect students with special needs. Not a suggestion. A contract. His mom Alexa Blasdell: “If they can’t keep my kid safe, they need to take accountability for that.” The district cited student privacy. A child walked miles alone in traffic. Those are not the same conversation. Dundee Middle School didn’t just fail Harley — they violated a federal agreement they signed. And now he refuses to go back. He’s 11. He shouldn’t have to be scared to go to school

I’m seeing more matchmaking applications from non-religious men who want to date Christian women, because they believe Christian women make good wives. The problem is that most Christian women I speak with want to date practicing Christian men. The guys react, “Tell her I’m OK with raising kids as Christians, and maybe I’ll even attend church with her...” Not exactly the same thing 😅
