I cannot adequately articulate the depth of fear that gripped me yesterday. It was not a sudden panic, but a slow, unsettling realization triggered by a simple email. The sender was a trader who targets the same audience I have deliberately and painstakingly built my brand around in the past few years. As I read his work, an uncomfortable truth surfaced: his writing mirrored my draft almost exactly—in tone, structure, and even in the way ideas were framed. In that moment, it dawned on me how profoundly the age of artificial intelligence is reshaping creativity. Most importantly, as we move closer to a world where machines assist in thought generation, ideas inevitably begin to overlap. Original insights risk becoming diluted, recycled, and indistinguishable. When many people rely on the same tools to think for them, individual voices blur into one repetitive chorus. What frightened me most was not imitation (whether his of me or mine of him) but my own complacency. I caught a glimpse of a version of myself becoming a mediocre writer, one who relies on AI to assemble borrowed thoughts, and the realization was nauseating. God forbid! Mediocrity, to me, is not just a creative failure; it is a moral one. And poverty, the result of being mediocre, in its intellectual and material form, terrifies me enough to force brutal self-reflection. I retold this story earlier this morning on a long call with my friend @Deedefiempress8 before writing this post but even after retelling it, the bitter taste of the experience is still fresh in my mind. This clarified a choice that cannot be postponed. AI can either reduce me to an echo, or accelerate me into distinction. The difference lies not in the tool, but in the intent behind its use. Those who outsource thinking will inevitably converge; those who refine their thinking with it will compound faster than ever before. I am determined to be the latter.
