🚨🔴⚪️ Morgan Rogers Remains Arsenal’s Ultimate Priority this Summer.
The Gunners are pushing hard behind the scenes to make the deal happen. Conversations on the player’s side have been positive, with Mikel Arteta’s project proving very attractive. However, discussions with Aston Villa are still at an early stage and are expected to intensify in the coming days.
Arsenal are prepared to make a significant investment to land the England international, with Arteta viewing Rogers as a key addition to his attack. The club is expected to resume negotiations as they look to kickstart the next phase of their summer business.
Meanwhile, Bradley Barcola remains on Arsenal’s shortlist and is highly appreciated internally, although Rogers continues to be the club’s clear first-choice winger.
👀 A big move could be brewing.

@KevHughesie @Alex_Berwick I can’t understand why none of these clubs are taking this matter to court as a restriction of trade
English

@Alex_Berwick No. No surprise Villa, Newcastle and Forest (three outliers) hit with fines. It’s almost impossible to push high and hard enough to qualify for Europe - regularly - while also staying the right side of UEFA’s rules, if you’re outside the six elite clubs.
English

Is there any conceivable way clubs can challenge & not breach these rules?
It’ll be Bournemouth next year.
Feel for Newcastle. Really do.

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.
