Comparing what they’ve added and what they lost, I’d consider this offseason to be a wash for the #Bears.
I don’t think they’re considerably better. That said, they have the draft and a ton of young players who should continue to grow. I trust this team and the coaching staff.

@CorbinSmithNFL I agree with both of your points but I also think they had room to improve and they’ve done zero to do that so far. Sure they will through the draft but with only 4 picks it’s difficult to know just how much they will. Rams and Niners both improved greatly. I trust JS but still

On the flip side, all 10 offensive players with 700+ snaps from last year are back. 11 of the 13 players with that workload are back on defense.
Special teams is largely intact.
That doesn't happen much for a defending champion.

@CorbinSmithNFL I mean, we’ve lost 3 of our top 15 defenders and barely replaced them. You can’t say that’s enough. And that’s without the downgrade at RB … Maybe that’s better than previous champs, but when was the last time any of them repeat?

Good news: I've always said that I love when teams attack the trenches heavy in the draft, and it looks like Poles is gonna have to do that with DL by default

The way things look right now and how many players are projected, I feel the odds are strong the Bears trade out of 25 down to a top 5 in the 2nd. No real drop off in player value this year and could get a third for doing it.
Second will be loaded with edges that may be a bit of a reach at 25. The 2nd is a VG area for safeties too

2025 defense stunk and fans are angry the organization isn’t bringing back those players. It would be confusing if it weren’t so typical.

@ErikLambert1 All people have to do is go back(or have actually watched it during the season) and watch the packers games. They lit us up when we man blitzed. There were plays where literally every receiver was open in those situations.

They’re literally one of the most consistent teams over the last 6 years in the NFL!

Because what the Rams built is the OPPOSITE of what the Bears want. They want LONG TERM SUSTAINED success. The rams have traded away all of their picks and essentially went "ALL IN" THey didn't "REBUILD" anything. THEY RELOADED. Complete difference, and they only have ONE home grown 1st ROund pick on the entire roster - Jared Verse. Once Stafford retires they will be one of the worst teams in the league for 5-10 years. DO better, this is embarrassing.

Let’s be real. Bears lose all of their playmakers on defense in FA. They lose their LT and C. Have a desperate need at edge and do absolutely nothing to address it. There’s no way you go into this next season thinking yea they’re gonna be that good again.

This Maxx Crosby situation is crazy.
There are massive ripple effects from it.
The Raiders’ free agency approach changed when they traded him. Other teams who wanted Crosby pivoted as well. The draft picks involved.
And now, the future of Crosby is the biggest question in the NFL.

As of right now, #DaBears are NOT a better team than they were last year. There's still time, but the options are running thin. The whole point of trading Moore's comtract, IMO, was to acquire a premier talent for the D line... They have yet to do so. What are they cookin up?? 👀
