We regret to announce the passing of PCP (retired) Doug Mathieson, on Dec 31/20. Doug served @RegionWaterloo for 35 years, first with @_CMHospital, then @ROWParamedics . Doug retired in 2016, and loved films and Jr & Sr A hockey and travel. A good man who will be missed.

We are shocked by the sudden death of one of our Paramedics, as the result of an off duty MVC last night. He was a caring and skilled professional, but more importantly a great friend, brother and son. Thank you to all who fought for him. Please reach out and help one another.

@Beems81 Doesn't say the word paramedics, ambulance or medical services...it spells out FD and PD, why wouldn't it specifically mention paramedics?

@cedarwoodsie Its a tough road on a broken system. If it means anything I loved working with you and remembet your infectious laugh and strength. From someone who came theough the other side barely take heed it does get better
