I agree to a certain degree, let’s not forget a few years ago when stores couldn’t even sell Fusion Strike ETB’s and had to massively discount them off MSRP, that was AFTER the 2020 boom. This is their golden era and from a business standpoint you wouldn’t want to change anything about this, just make it look like you want to change something about it simply for PR

Will printing more Pokemon cards fix anything? No. Lottery tickets are endlessly printed, does that stop demand or change prices? No. This is gambling, value is being chased. Nothing is going back to what it was, I don’t care how much they print. Gamblers lose all their money at the Casino and show back up next weekend. Rinse and repeat. It’s an addiction. Pokémon is their new Casino.

@UTDSCM We are talking about scratch off tickets here, should clarify. Printing more of the big cards would be a bad business move, they want their product in demand as any business would. If they don’t keep their cards valuable, a majority of their profits will decline.

While you have already missed out on out of print sets that will be astronomical prices, we’re speaking of what you’re missing out on now.. not the future. If you think that facility will be operational anytime soon you are sadly mistaken. They are planning for continued demand, why would they even open the new facility with plans to drive the prices down and people away.. that’s.. less profit.. for more operational cost? That’s a terrible business model and not what is happening. That facility is to keep up with the rip and shippers and scalpers, you will still not get your hands on anything regardless if it’s printed to the dirt, that’s more for the scalpers and rip and shippers to buy up. Pokémon is a for profit business at the end of the day, what business wants to drive away profit? You’re falling for smokescreens that appear they care about the regular customers.
