My pregnant fiancee just told me we can't put the rocking chair my father bought for my mother that my sister and I were both nursed on in the baby's nursery because it won't match her "theme". Both my parents have passed. This is a big fucking issue for me.

My friend is getting married this spring and it’s out of state for us.
We have to fly into a small airport in the South.
Flights + hotel for me and my wife will come out to around ≈ $2,000.
I’m having a hard time justifying the cost for being there a little over 48hrs.
What would you do?

Sharing this for all the moms. Want to add that this type of connection and trust must be built through the years of listening and shutting da f up when they talk. Give them room, start early, practice makes it easier

Pro-mom tip when you have a 10 year old daughter who seems like she wants to talk. I went and got two large diamond painting kits. We sat together and did them for three hours. She didn’t look up or stop talking once. I got all the 5th grade drama.

Today’s therapy topic was how much stress and anxiety I feel as a woman near perimenopause.
Every little “off” feeling sends me on a research spiral of tests and supplements.
Most women’s hormone research is still so early so it’s hard to know what to trust.
