I’m a die hard @dunkindonuts fan. Have been since 1994. BUT your mew coffee lids are a terrible design. The mouth opening snap-back never stays put after opening. Surely I am not the only person to experience this. There was nothing wrong with the old lids. They worked!!!

It’s two days before New. Year’s Eve and people are driving like it’s their last day to live. And for some,…it will be. Stay safe and avoid the roads if you can.

Pretty incredible to have one team sweep a grand tour podium. If you think about how hard it is to do in a one day classic,… then Jumbo’s sweep of The Vuelta Espana is truly remarkable.

Every couple of years the @UCI_cycling will try to simplify the complexity of professional cycling in the hopes of gaining more fans. This year the @lavuelta has needlessly complicated their event, with where a stage finishes in time, and where it finishes for the victory. 👎🏽

@bobkeroll is the best Cycling commentator on television. Great educator without tons of self professing. Great cadence and he knows the sport so well, he knows when to emphasize a point and when to play something down. Enjoy his commentary very much.

Team USA’s, 17 year old Magnus White is killed by motorist on training ride in Boulder, Colorado. Heartbreaking. I’ll take this opportunity to tell everyone I know (who drives), that the potential for catastrophe is a laps of concentration away. Stay focused. Lives depend on it.

The support for Tibot Pino in his last tour was incredible on stage 20. He’s been the darling of French cycling for a while. Remarkable how this over shadowed Peter Sagan’s final tour. Not to take anything away from Tibot. Just wish there had been a better farewell for Sagan.

At 6 years of age my parents believed I had enough self control to endure a short 1 hr domestic flight. I was told “if you can behave we will do longer trips in the future”. They were conscientious people who also believed in rewarding good behavior. I miss parents like that. 😂

I met a guy who was telling me how much smarter his breed of dog was over other breeds. I think that’s rubbish. I’ve met many “sidewalk specials” (mix breeds) who are brilliant in all aspects. Pets (like people), respond to the love, energy and time you give them.

Watching @JaiHindley descending today in the @LeTour was a thing of beauty. Great line choices on some tricky corners and committed body language. What a great day in the Tour.

The Tour of Flanders was some of the best bike racing I’ve witnessed post the Greg Lemond era. Incredible attacking with 50 kms to go and multiple climbs left. Great racing from the start. Just incredible!!!

Post 2/2: Yesterday in The Tour of Flanders a pro made a mistake & took out half the peloton. In the women’s race, the World Champion crashed herself & two others out by mistake. Riders make mistakes. Even the best in the world. Taking ownership of them is part of sportsmanship.

Post 1/2: In 2012 I directed the velodrome in Londonderry, New Hampshire. A rider caused a bad crash that sent 4 people to hospital. When sanctioned for his era, his club boycotted our facility saying he’d never made a mistake in 20 years of amateur racing.

MTB trails in New England are treacherous in the winter & springtime as the leaves cover potential obstacles & traps. Yesterday my front wheel dropped into a foot deep sink hole & I went over the bars. It’s time we blew or swept the trails clean.

@usacycling Hopefully its true to the discipline and has gravel roads in it. No single track. Too many race promoters trying to hype their events by making the courses technical. Gravel should be enough. There is still a skill set required to ride gravel fast and well.

2/1: @instagram If your customers don’t want to allow anyone commenting at them, or at the very least, responding to something they said about someone else, then perhaps they shouldn’t be allowed to talk at someone in the first place. Healthy dialogue is a two way street.
