The saddest part about living in your late 30s / mid 40s is seeing legends & people that inspired, shaped up or touched your lives, made you laugh or cry go away. Be it people from business, musicians, artists, actors or sports.

Founder's life is hard! My home loan application got rejected by a top private bank - just because I am a founder. > 25 years+ of customer > ~800 CIBIL Score > 5x-6x of loan value in relationship with this bank > may be in top 0.1% of its customers by assets > and irony is this bank felicitated me as top fintech innovator or something like that.. 😛 They can give loan to team members our company employs, but not me - because as founder I'm high risk category. Damn... lagta hai office mein hi rehna padega zindagi bhar... 🫤😭

Startups - Everyone wants to invest & exit! More conversations with & within startup ecosystem and also with VCs in India are about investing, mark-ups and exits. In past few months, I met many folks in VC-LP ecosystem than before, and know that LPs in funds keep asking about fund performance & exits all the times - it's natural to expect that. As a result, all conversations end-up being transactional - everyone wants to make money, quickly! We are in forever exit mode, which I guess is possibly why - we have so little conversations about building generational companies. And we have very few of them.

As a startup grows in size & scale, and there are more people that earlier, many feel or perceive that being close to founders or leadership is the way to 'be seen as creating impact'. Fake leaders with titles like attention, founders don't. Culture that rewards founder worshipping is worst than the 'la-la' culture; move on from there. Founders at all times know when you are trying to impress them, and they don't like it! Creating real impact for organisation, even when you are small, mid sized or large - is always about making a impact for end users or customers; and delivering exceptionally well on your responsibilities. Do this, again and again - you will do well in your career.

@ThatOptionGuy Good to know this one. Usually these will trade with premium. If we can able to open account with US stocks, direct buying is better like Ind money, vested etc. Heard going forward Dhan, zerodha also will offer through GIFT City route, yet to explore this.

ETF Battle #02 🇮🇳🇺🇸 Was at a family function last weekend when my cousin asked me, "Bhai, I want to invest in the US market for the AI boom. Everyone is recommending MON100. Should I just buy that?" I said, "MON100 is a good ETF. But did you know there's another Nasdaq ETF that's quietly outperformed it over the last year?" He had no idea. 📈 1-Year Returns • MON100: 45.2% • MONQ50: 64.6% The reason? MON100 (Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 ETF) tracks the Nasdaq-100, giving exposure to ~100 companies. MONQ50 (Motilal Oswal Nasdaq Q-50 ETF) tracks only the top 50 companies from the same index, making it more concentrated towards mega-cap AI & tech leaders. Higher concentration can mean higher returns... but it also comes with higher risk. I'm not saying one is better than the other. It depends on your risk appetite. Always do your own research before investing. Had you heard about MONQ50 before, or was MON100 the only US ETF you knew?

Let me start with this., we all love India, and we love it even more when India wins on the global stage. 🇮🇳🏅 Growing up as a kid, one of the bit disappointing moments was seeing the medal tally for the Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, or more globally recognised sports (outside of Cricket) and feeling that - we are not winning enough. Like many, I sighed.., we should win more, we could have done better. 🫤 And then, like everyone else, we moved on from that topic. I'm referencing the time 20-25 years ago here.. 🥲 Yes, things have improved a lot now—participation in sports & athletes in encouraged. We are winning more, much more than before, but there is always the lingering feeling that India should win more. Athletes and sportspersons are recognised, get celebrated & have their share of fame - when they win; however, the journey of many years leading to that overnight success remains tough, hard and much much difficult when they do not have access or resources to perform their best and compete on the global stage. As a young startup, we have people who believed in us, who trusted us, which includes our customers, traders & investors using @DhanHQ, they helped us reach this point. Yes, there is still a long way to go, more so cause the big folks in our industry are still very very big compared to us. We were fortunate to become profitable, and now we feel we should find ways to contribute back to the society. So going back to where this post started, we are launching Momentum by Raise. Our way to support promising & budding athletes before they become the sports stars of tomorrow and bring glory for India on a global stage. Here is a first batch of athletes we are supporting with Momentum..🥰🇮🇳 When I discussed this with my peers & colleagues at @RaiseTheBarHQ, I made this random comment... चलो यह भी कर लेते है... क्या पता शायद इन सबके साथ साथ हमारा भी कुछ भला ही हो जाए :-) or in my own way.. Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen...🚀🥲

@vishan_29 Noted, yes - we largely cater only to traders on Dhan. The products mentioned have come up on last 12-18 months. Even today, nearly 90% of our users are traders and they move from other platforms to Dhan. We are simplifying the experience on Dhan & across platforms.

Is it just me or does Dhan’s UI feel a bit too cluttered compared to Zerodha and Groww? There’s so much happening on the screen that it sometimes feels less intuitive than the simpler experience offered by Zerodha or Groww. Curious to know - do others feel the same?
