Between 850,000 and 1,000,000 Mizrahi Jews were expelled, persecuted, and had their property confiscated from Arab countries (Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Yemen, etc.) after 1948.
If they cry "Nakba" for 700,000 Arabs, why are they silent about the nearly one million Jews who lost everything in Arab lands?
The world is busy mourning Arab refugees, but pretends to be oblivious to the much larger "Jewish Exodus."
Mizrahi Jews came to Israel and lived in Ma'abarot (refugee camps) under dire conditions. Without UNRWA, they had no right of return. Israel quickly updated its system, and these refugees were absorbed, educated, and made full citizens.
Mizrahi Jews never demanded the "Right of Return" to Baghdad or Cairo to cause unrest there. They chose to "rebuild" their lives in their original homeland (Israel).
Meanwhile, the grandchildren of Arab refugees (who were even born abroad) continue to be labeled "refugees" by UNRWA so that funding continues to flow.
Jewish refugees in Ma'abarot struggle on their own without the aid of a spoiled UN. Meanwhile, UNRWA maintains Arab refugees, keeping them impoverished and filled with resentment for political gain.
If Mizrahi Jews can emerge from the tents of Ma'abarot without UN assistance, then the failure of Arab refugees is the result of the evil designs of their own leaders.
