At a session of the @UN General Assembly, I warned that against Cuba, the United States government is waging a multidimensional, unconventional war that has now lasted nearly seven decades and has become more brutal and ruthless in the last seven months. Now an energy siege has been added, equivalent to a naval blockade, which is an act of war. Access to fuel supplies for Cuba—both commercial and humanitarian—is being prevented through direct threats, unilateral coercive actions, and even harassment or intimidation of tanker vessels by the United States. Repeated threats of military aggression have been made by the highest levels of the U.S. government, and public sources describe military options and preparations. To the economic, commercial, and financial blockade, unprecedented and extremely extraterritorial actions have been added, such as the use of "secondary sanctions," which follow the macabre plan of provoking a humanitarian crisis in Cuba and the total destabilization of the country, in order to pave the way for—or force—the presidential order for an imperialist military intervention that would cause a bloodbath and heavy losses of Cuban and American lives. #CubaIsNotAThreat; the blockade is.
