Introducing Hank (top) and Hildy (below). A bonded brother-and-sister pair of adopted Orientals we've welcomed onto our shelves and into our home. Hank is named after Hank Mobley, Hildy after Hildy Johnson. Nico is approving but tentative. They are adorable. And ridiculous.

@ClareDChambers As far as I know, my cousin still has a piece of paper in his wallet on which is a drawing by our late grandmother, produced during a game of Pictionary, depicting the word ‘prick’. Old people have rude thoughts! Who knew? Cracks us up every time.

Look at this beautiful boy! A Galgo mix so he's basically a Spanish lurcher and yeah, I'm biased but lurchers are the most amazing, goofy, affectionate, sweetheart dogs. he's just a pup looking for his people, he could be gazing like that at YOU!

The blackbirds are back and running the birdtable like an OCG. The word among the sparrows is mealworms and suet pellets available by the gram round the back of the garden shed... (The Black Prince, available as a Giclee print at jomarchart.com from next week )
