@primepippo @peterhtillmann @D_Langenmayr Du argumentierst, dass die auf Staatsanleihen zu zahlenden Zinsen durch die Zentralbank bestimmt werden. Diese sind aber ein Marktergebnis, bei dem der Leitzins eine von vielen Einflussgrößen ist. Daher kann eine ZB (zumindest mit EZB-Mandat) nicht direkt Yields setzen.

Austerität lässt sich natürlich nicht an der nominalen Ausgabenhöhe oder am Haushaltssaldo allein ablesen…
In einer Volkswirtschaft wie unserer - mit hohem privaten Nettosparwunsch und sinkendem Leistungsbilanzüberschuss - kann selbst ein scheinbar großes Defizit zu klein sein.

@makornfeld_ Erstes Paper zeigt 7 - 11% Reduzierung des Angebotes vgl. zu unregulierten Einheiten.
Zweites Paper zeigt sinkende Mieten, aber mit einem Angebotsrückgang, der etwa fünfmal so groß ist.
Mietendeckel haben ohne Gegenmaßnahmen (wie Föderung von Wohnungsbau etc.) negative Effekte.

Most US schools have more variety in what classes people take. Getting an econ degree has less requirements and students take more random stuff.
Result is that most undergraduate econ majors don't get any serious training (which you often get in European undergrads).

@eni_iljazi @neocentrist In Mannheim, the first course you had to take was Real Analysis and Linear Algebra. After that, you could go maths track, which is Real Analysis and Linear Algebra II and III. In Bonn, you have the chance to take pure maths courses with the maths faculty, so I would disagree.

yes, I had DGSEs in macro, but they're showing them to people who haven't taken linear algebra, and sometimes even calculus, and nothing sticks.
