I wonder how many Asian candidates didn’t get through to their school of medicine not because they didn’t do well but because of such bigotry belief. There should never be any place for such people at the top.

@JohnBrouder Tackling such languages of threats and tortures from the top is the only way forward. No one performs at his/her best under such conditions. In fact patient safety may be compromised. People should speak up as no one should suffer in silence.

This week I heard someone use this term "Holding their feet to the fire" Someone also wrote in an email " I am sure we dont want 2 have 2 escalate this. One torture proposition & one threat. Not the language of an equal or valuing culture. We must out these things in the NHS

@AdamMGrant @MarySextonNHS I concur with the comparative phrases between the two extremes of the spectrum - the secure and the insecure, the great and the not so great leaders. In the end, the insecure leaders would have no followers, and a leader without a follower is not a leader.

Insecure leaders ridicule others. Secure leaders laugh at themselves. Great leaders take their work seriously, but don't take themselves too seriously. The ability to make fun of yourself is a mark of humility and a catalyst for learning from mistakes. #FridayFeeling

There is a debate within the recovery community around the title 'Peer Support Worker'. Some are for it, some against it. Some say it is an evidence-backed role whilst others say it creates a difference between staff and all staff can have lived experience. Lets vote...

@DavidJ_Brindle @juliaross @JuliaPredictX Great idea. Who will have the custody of the budget? Where will the control be? Irrespective, I believe it is better than separate budgets with health and social care. The integrated budget emphasises more on the service users as opposed to the services!

We forget that prisoners were once children. We talk a lot about early intervention as if it's too late for everyone else. If you know the system you will know prisons are simply a form of mass incarceration for people with untreated/undiagnosed MH/LD. Punishment vs Recovery? 📊
