Beloit 2026 ATH (DE/TE/OL) Brody Litton has committed to Division I FBS New Mexico. Litton was an all state pick from Sports in Kansas in 2A last season and a non senior pick. Great size at 6-6 and 250 pounds that can play multiple spots. Also has 54’+ in shot put. Great kid. #sportsinkansas

3A girls shot put state champion 🥇 Beloit goes 1 and 2 in the 3A girls shot put state championship. Tatum Seyfert wins her second gold medal of the weekend and sets a new state meet record of 46-4.25. Addison Budke follows closely with a throw of 42-2.75 to take second.

3A girls discus state champion 🥇 Tatum Seyfert of Beloit is now a 2x state champion in the discus winning with a throw of 147-7. Seyfert has won the shot put the last two years and is going for a three peat tomorrow. #sportsinkansas

Beloit (3A) has five throwers over 50 feet in the shot put this season. Sadly only three will get to compete at regionals due to rules. 54’6” will have to sit at home. In some years, that throw would win 3A and several classes. The best overall throwing program in Kansas for 2025 has the #1 all classes discus thrower in boys, #3 all classes boys javelin thrower, #9 and #10 boys shot put throwers. They also have three throwers over 50’ & expect a have a fourth. They also have the best 3A girls state meet shot put record holder who ranks #1 in Kansas and the #2 shot put thrower in Kansas. In addition to that they also have the #4 overall discus thrower in the state so far, plus another top 25 thrower in discus and another top 25 thrower in javelin. They are led by Kansas HS throwing great Casey Seyfert. We caught up with seniors Eli Johnson, Tatum Seyfert, Brodie Boudreaux, Addison Budke, Brooks Jones & coach Seyfert. #sportsinkansas

2024 Sports in Kansas 2A Defensive Player of the Year Eli Johnson of Beloit, Sr. DL Johnson (6’6” 240) had a dominating senior year for the Trojans and head coach Brad Gober as he registered 68 tackles, 17 TFLs and 8 sacks as he led the Trojans into the state semifinals where they had a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds to eventual champion Southeast of Saline. He also dominated on the offensive line. Johnson is one of the best multiple sport athletes in the state of Kansas and ranked #2 in all classes of Kansas last year in the shot put at over 59 feet. He has goals of mid 60s this season in the event and will be one of the top returnees in the country. He also was a second team 3A all state pick in basketball for the Trojans last year as he helped them to a third place finish in 3A. One of his older siblings (Sydney) was a Division I thrower at Mizzou. He becomes the second Trojan to win this award in recent memory as Grady Seyfert won it in 2021 & 2022. #sportsinkansas
