After the 5th game in 7 days hits I'm usually in the best hockey shape and then I drag my equipment to my shed and I'm done for the year.

There is only 3 games guaranteed but that's not how it's gone the last 4 years we've played the maximum games played every year winning all our games 2 times. I feel real good playing this year because I have been training for the Heavy Hockey Showdown.

Getting myself ready for the spring tradition of playing 5 games in a week. It can be tough on the old body but I get to play alongside players that I played alongside for 30 years like my buddy Richard.

Game 71: EDM 2 - TBL 5 I liked the Oilers 1st period, I thought they came out hard and fast and with purpose. Scoring the 1st goal late in the period was an added bonus. After things got a little goofy in the 2nd when Bouchard got hit from behind, it was all about the PP and PK. Tampa scored on their PP and the Oilers couldn't score on theirs, and also gave up a shortie. Vasilevskiy made some huge saves and also got lucky with the Oilers hitting the post. He was the difference on the PK. He made some great saves. I thought McDavid was trying to do too much tonight. In Draisaitl's absence we need some other players to start stepping up and help carry the play. #Oilers #LetsGoOilers

That was tough to watch tonight the Oilers just don't have the depth this year.
