"It is possible I am a useful idiot." I challenged the so-called "Chinese Nostradamus" and self-styled "Professor" Jiang on 'Mehdi Unfiltered' on his predictions, on Chinese censorship, accusations of antisemitsm, the Iran war, and more. Full interview: zeteo.com/p/mehdi-goes-h…

@FACEIT_Darwin @Lord_Happym1x It's not a bought account it's just another cheater. Performs well with his cheats on but he's a bot without them, same as the vast majority of your player base. The fact you checked him and can't see he's obviously cheating says it all.

While I agree that account buyers do exist, I think we need to be careful about normalising the idea that anyone in a bad run of form has bought their account. In most of the cases I look into, that isn’t what’s happening. The user Joker, for example. I checked matches going back to last year, across both strong and poor performances, and it’s the same player throughout

@XueJia24682 @AndyBxxx Just looked at shangrao, you could probably get a single room for that price but a double room apartment of that size and quality is probably 10x that price.

@Rtyu1148534j @heike_liebler @chenweihua @mehdirhasan @TurgayEvren1 China has few foreigners and it's difficult to live in China, extremely difficult to get PR. CN doesn't have free healthcare or high benefits that can be taken advantage of by foreigners. You might think differently if CN was flooded with third world scroungers who hate China.

@Ben08891003 @heike_liebler @chenweihua @mehdirhasan @TurgayEvren1 I see foreigners claiming to be Chinese and I have no problem with that. Again that’s very personal and I respect your choice. I won’t call myself Canadian either but I respect those who claim to be. It’s a non issue to me. It’s only an issue to criticize others from doing so.

@Rtyu1148534j @heike_liebler @chenweihua @mehdirhasan @TurgayEvren1 Whether or not Chinese people accept me as Chinese is beside the point (The vast majority wouldn't). I would feel like a complete idiot claiming I'm Chinese. I love China and I love Britain but I'm a Briton living in China just like a Chinese person in Britain is still Chinese.

@heike_liebler @chenweihua @mehdirhasan @TurgayEvren1 Of course yes if you speak fluent Chinese and think like a Chinese. Language fluency is the most key indicator of identity than your skin color and facial features. There are tons of whites call themselves Chinese living near China’s northern border.

The mayor of London posted about having a coffee and he got views of almost 10million and mostly hate. This isn't normal behaviour. This is proof (along with the meltdown over a bunch of ppl praying in a square) of just how deeply radicalised the right-wing have become.

@NadiaWhittomeMP How many people of English descent are in political power in those countries? How many English people are in the Pakistani parliament dictating to Pakistanis what they should or shouldn't do with their cousins or their goats?

Within just 48 hours of the Tories refusing to sack Nick Timothy for his Islamophobic comments, the far-right is circulating a list of MPs “of foreign descent” trying to “silence” him. This is what happens when racism is normalised from the top: democratically elected representatives being told that we shouldn't be allowed to make decisions here at all, and even that we should leave the country. It’s a racist attack on our very democracy. Will Nick and his party condemn it?

I will always make decisions in the national interest. That’s why we did not join the offensive action against Iran.    Reform and the Tories would’ve rushed us into war without a plan to get us out.

You know who deserves a tax break? A reward? The people who go ten years without EVER dipping into the public purse. They're the ones who should get some sort of tax cut in thanks for being self-sufficient, hard-working, well-behaved, quiet, and productive. It would incentivise MORE people to work hard and operate independent of the state.

What I don’t get is why they couldn’t just send him a formal summons via mail so he can turn up at a police station with a solicitor at a given date. Like we can argue about free speech all day, but is the benefit of such a heavy handed arrest for an ultimately non-violent ‘crime’?

@ImOverIt70 @caduceus415 @nytimes The US killed 25% of the children in one day that Russia has killed over 4 years. Imagine if Russia had bombed a Ukrainian school and killed almost 200 kids. Both are horrible but you can't just demonise one country and not the other.

@Ben08891003 @caduceus415 @nytimes This is actually the most retarded comment I've read today. And there are a lot of them from this article. Russia has killed roughly 15,172 Ukrainian civilians and 41,378 injured since February 2022. At least 766 children killed and 2,540 injured.

We are getting a lot of big names playing cs2 man, an anti cheat really would be huge. I know your scared @CounterStrike of losing the cheater player base, but bro you will get a new player base with some of those guys quitting cs. Pls bro, anti cheat the new players that you lose will come back. Cs will literally be the best game ever. After, we can talk 128tick ❤️

Jynxzi after playing CS2 for the first time ‼️ "Chat, I'm gonna grind this game... it's simple, it's very similar to Siege, like ridiculously similar to Siege... but CS is very simple, that's what I like about it. Learning to aim is going to be hard, the cases are going to be fun but I have to keep myself in check so I don't end up lighting like 80k on fire in the course of 2 months... but yea, I'm really really really liking this sh!t, that was fun... CS is peak"

Allowing cheaters like Valve has been doing for profit over a decade has been monumentally moronic on such a high level. Short term profit to destroy the long term potential. Somehow we still have esports support and great tournaments. I have little trust in Valve having any clue what they’re doing or have any vision of a positive future in esports. Something has happened in the high rooms of development, and they don’t believe in humans striving to be their best. Hit em with the sales for games non stop, that they won’t even play. Skin box em as a reward where they have to pay to open it. They believe in farming us like cattle for pure profit. No clue where cs and esports goes from here (prob grind up and up cuz it’s god tier) but cheaters have ruined this game as a pastime for me on a fundamental level. Real competitors move on to something real when the playing field is clearly altered. I preferred StarCraft at my peak comp gaming days cuz of this and lack of good teammates (which goes back to cheaters, ruins playerbase development) Also lans/good teams where I lived were few and far between in early cs days

@BBCWorld Some context: that "lowest economic growth" is still higher than almost every other country in the world and considerably higher than most European countries. Having 4.5% growth after 35 years of higher growth doesn't seem too bad to me.
